COVID-19

In light of the government’s Stay at Home measures and following new guidance issued today by the Environment Agency and Canal & River Trust, which impacts the usage of waterways, British Canoeing has further revised its position and now strongly recommends that all paddlesport activity should immediately cease on rivers, waterways and coastal areas until further notice. Full details can be found on the British Canoeing site.

Saltford Rowing Centre and Canoe Avon are closed until further notice. We hope to get back on the water very soon.

Canoe Avon is a family friendly club offering a wide range of paddling disciplines such as touring, sea kayaking, white water, canoeing and racing/marathon kayaking. We are situated on the bank of the river Avon at the Saltford Rowing Centre between Keynsham and Bath.

Canoeing is an exciting sport and past time for many people from all ages and backgrounds. At Canoe Avon our volunteers freely give up their time to help others and ensure our members gain a positive and enjoyable paddling experience.

If you are serious about having fun and learning along the way and are 12 years or over, please come along and meet us!

Canoeing and kayaking are “Assumed Risk” – “Water Contact Sports” that may carry attendant risks.

Participants should be aware of and accept these risks, and be responsible for their own action and involvement.
