About Canoe Avon
Established in 2014, Canoe Avon has a strong pedigree of paddling in the Saltford area having formed from the merger of Griffon Canoe Club and Globe 360. We are proud to have such a great heritage and offer a range of exciting disciplines for our members.
Canoe Avon is an Unincorporated Association entirely run by volunteers and managed through an Executive Committee in accordance with the club’s constitution. We are affiliated to British Canoeing and have recently been awarded the Quality Club status. We strongly believe canoeing is a sport for everyone and we are a #ShePaddles Champion club.
We are based at the Saltford Rowing Centre, sharing the facilities with Avon County Rowing. See the Location page for more details.
Canoeing and kayaking are “Assumed Risk – Water Contact” sports that may carry attendant risks. Participants should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
Please note that as a members club, we do not hire equipment to the public.
